3. TISSUE CULTURE LABORATORYTop..
1.Established in this Kendra on 13-1-96.
2.Technical guidance from Baba Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai for banana plantlets micropropagation.
3.Tissue cultured plants are hardened in green house.
4.Hardened banana plants are distributed to farmers.
5.Micropropagation is also taken up in Orchids, Rose, and Crossandra.
6.Orchidarium serves as a source of explants, as well as an unit for demonstration.
7.Protocols for Safed musli, teak, pine apple, sugarcane and Pitcher plant Dionea are being developed.
8.Serves as a centre for knowledge development for students through project guidance.
New Orchid Hybrid (Dendrobium) Puduvai Kamaraj developed by this KVK and registered with the Royal Society of      Horticulture, London.
4. BIO-CONTROL LABORATORYTop..
1.Established in 1997 under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Government of India.
2.Technical Guidance from National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Insects (ICAR), Bangalore.
3.Egg Parasitoid Trichogramma japonicum was released during the Silver Jubilee Celebrations in 1999 as a first Biocontrol agent.
4.Tricho cards using Trichogramma japonicum & Trichogramma chilonis Parasitoids; Nucleo Polyhedro Viral Biopesticides for Spodoptera litura and Helicoverpa armigera; Antagonistic Fungal and Bacterial Biopesticides - Trichoderma viride, Trichoderma harzianum and Pseudomonas fluorescens; Mycoinsecticide using Beauveria bassiana are being produced and supplied for crop pests and Diseases Management.
5.Enzootic Bacterial Biopesticide - Bacillus thuringiensis and Mycoinsecticide - Metarrhizium anisopiliae are in pipeline.
6.Serves as a centre for knowledge development for students through project guidance.
7.Under the ambit of plant protection Ecofriendly Integrated Pest Management Modules are developed for many crops including Urban Horticulture crops.

2.Trials on the adaptability of vegetables, flowers and fruits are being taken up.
3.Various seeds and planting materials of vegetables, flowers and fruits are produced and distributed to the farmers.

7. PRECISION FARMING PROJECTTop..
1.A hi-tech farming system.
2.To develop market led farming in agriculture.
3.Farmer having one hectare area is provided with drip irrigation unit worth Rs. one lakh and inputs like seedlings, fertilizer, worth Rs.50,000/- at 100% subsidised cost.
4.KVK is the project implementing agency in technical collaboration with Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.
5.Department of Agriculture, Puducherry is the coordinating and funding agency.
6.Inaugurated on 22.08.2008 by the Hon'ble Chief Minister Thiru. V. Vaithilingam at Pandasolanallur.
8. HI TECH NURSERYTop..
1.Established in this Kendra in an area of 1020sq mt.
2.Seedling of Brinjal, Tomota, Chillies, Cabbage, Marigold and other Vegetables are produced in pro-trays and supplied to farmers.
9. STUDENTS PROJECTSTop..
1.Students undertake project works in Bio Control Lab & Tissue Culture Lab and in disciplines like Fisheries, Home Science, Animal Husbandry, Extension, Soil Sceice, Etc. based on their studies.
2.They are charged at Rs.10,000/- for 3months and Rs.25,000/- for one year project.
