Demonstration Units are established in the following disciplines with the view to impart practical trainings to the farmers & visitors.
AGRONOMY
1.  Vermiculture Unit :
  Open air vermicomposting unit is constructed as a pit with a size of 10' X 3' X
1.5' with precast cement hollow blocks bricks in which earth worms are grown.
  This method does't require separate shed to be constructed and the hollow
bricks can be easily shifted as they are not cemented together.
HORTICULTURE
1.  Medicinal Plants Unit :
  Established in 50 cents area.
  180 kinds of medicinal plants are introduced & maintained.
  Nursery for Medicinal Plants are also Maintained under Indian System of
Medicine and Homeopathy (GOI) funds and plants are distributed to the clientele.
2.   Orchidarium :
  Established in 1500 sq. m.
  Used as demonstration cum propagation centre for different varieties
(Dendrobium, Mokara, Spider arachnis, Spothaglottis, Aranda, Cymbidium, Coelgyne) of Orchids.
3.   Horticultural Nursery:
  From the Horticultural Nursery of this Kendra the following planting materials like Tree seedlings (Teak, Neem, Gul Mohar, Acacia), Fruit saplings(Guava, Lime, Lemon, & Papaya), Grafted saplings (Mango, Jack, Amla & Sapota) Plants & cuttings (Bougainvillea, Rose, Crossandra, Ixora, Creepers, Diffenbachia, Ferns, Kolanchoe, Hibiscus etc.) are produced and supplied to farmers.
4.  TC Plant Hardening Nursery :
  Plants cultured through the tissue culture method are hardened here and sold
to farmers after hardening.
  Established in an area of 3000 sq.ft.
  
5.  Coconut intercrop with Cocoa :
  Success of intercropping cocoa in coconut is demonstrated to farmers.
  Established as a pioneer unit in the east coast of Puducherry and adjoining
districts of Tamil Nadu.
  Forestro Hybrid Cocoa Planted in 1.2 acres and Successfully proved that it is
remunarative.
  Established under pured organic cultivation.
  
6.  Coconut intercrop with Fodder :
  Success of intercropping fodder in coconut is demonstrated to farmers.
  Established under pure organic cultivation.
  Crop stand and yield exhibited for Co 3 and Co 4 grass.
  Adoptability of other new hybrids is studied.
  
  
HOME SCIENCE
1. Fruits & Vegetables Preservation unit :
  Established in 98 sq. m. area with financial assistance and licence from
Ministry of Food Processing Industries (GOI).
  Quality pickles of different kinds, fruit squashes and jams are sold.
  Trainees can gain knowledge on the preservation techniques of Fruits
& Vegetables.
2. Zero Energy Cool Chamber :
  Used to demonstrate storage of perishable farm produce at zero energy
requirement.
  Cost involved for the construction of chamber measuring
110 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm is only Rs. 3,000/-
3. Mushroom Unit :
  Established in 52.5 sq.m. area.
  Used as demonstration cum production unit for oyster mushroom.
  Means of fetching an additional income.
4. Spawn Unit :
  A separate spawn unit with U.V. Chamber is established in 2007 with
assistance from Department of Science and Technology, Puducherry.

  Quality spawns are being produced and supplied regularly based on the needs
of mushroom growers of Puducherry and Tamil Nadu.
  This can also be used for composting.
5. Milky Mushroom Unit :
This unit started in 2008 for imparting training on Milky Mushroom cultivation.
Milky Mushroom spawn is also being produced and supplied to Mushroom growers.
  
  
ANIMAL SCIENCE
1. Fodder Cultivation Unit :
  Established in an area of 2.5 acre.
  All types of forage raising techniques are taught to the farmers viz. Grass,
Legumes, Cereal fodder and Trees.
  Aims at popularizing feeding of green fodder to livestock and to take up
fodder cultivation among farmers.
2. Rabbit Rearing Unit.
  Established in an area of 100 sq.ft.
  Newzealand white rabbits are maintained to demonstrate the farmers
about rearing techniques.
3. Poultry Farm Unit :
  A poultry rearing demonstration unit under intensive system of management
consisting of turkey is established in this Kendra.
  The farmers can be trained on the importance of "batch system" and
"intensive farming system".
  Through these systems, resources can be used for optimum level to
generate day to day income.
4. Goat Rearing Unit :
  Self Help Groups under women cell are motivated to start a cooperative goat
rearing unit semi-intensive system of management.
  A buck and a doe will be supplied to these groups so as to enable them to
start self employment units.
  To facilitate this a pure bred goat rearing demonstration unit is established
under semi intensive system of management.
FISHERIES
Six fish demonstration ponds are laid in 5300 sq. m. area.
1. Composite Fish Culture Unit :
  Catla, Rohu, Mrigal, Silver Carp, Grass Carp and Common Carp fishes
are stocked for demonstration.
2. Integrated Fish Farming Unit :
  Methods of Poultry cum Fish culture, Duck cum Fish culture and Paddy cum
Fish culture are demonstrated.

  This reduces the feed and manure cost and increases the income of the
farmers.

3. Fresh Water Prawn Culture Unit :
  Fast growing fresh water Prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) seeds are stocked
and pond management practices are demonstrated.
4. Major Carp Fish Seed Production Unit :
  Methods of fish seed production are demonstrated and the seeds reared in
the nursery powns are distributed to fish farmers.
5. Breeding and Culture of Ornamental Fish Unit :
  Egg layers like Koi Carp, Gold Fish and Live bearers like Guppies, Mollies,
Platies, Blue Gourami and Rosy Barb are bred and marketed.
  Methods of breeding and culture of ornamental fish are demostrated
through this units.
